Tommy,
We are back and rested after a wonderful trip to
Vietnam. Congratulations on your flawless
arrangements. Everything worked out as you promised
from hotel bookings to airline tickets to guides and
drivers. A special thanks for your quick and efficient
response for help when our flight to Hue was canceled.
It is amazing how quickly you coordinated the Danang
airport pick up superbly. I would be happy to have
future clients call me for a reference in the USA. You
can direct them to my work number (814) 443-5183 and
have them ask for Dr. Moitra, Director of Department of
Emergency Medicine. I would be pleased to highly
recommend your "Signatures of Asia" as the preferred
travel agent for luxury travel in Vietnam.
Best Wishes,

Good day,
Tommy,
The Chambers family has now arrived safely back in
Canada with a total of about 24,000 photos taken during
our trip. We offer our sincere thanks for an excellent
and well-managed itinerary and will be recommending your
tour to any who express an interest in traveling to your
part of the world.
During the tour we were asked to fill out a couple of
surveys, which we did, but not completely, because we
felt somewhat uncomfortable about responding with
complete candor in respect of the services provided by
the guides. For that reason, I am providing below some
additional comments for your personal information and
consideration.
Our first guide, in the south, was Tony, who did an
excellent job. He was friendly, helpful and attentive.
As we noted in the written survey, there were a couple
of sites that were skipped because prior travelers had
expressed concern about the associated odors. When we
mentioned to Tony that we didn't mind bad odors if it
resulted in interesting photos, he went out of his way
to take us to a rice processing factory, an example of
which had been omitted previously.
In central Vietnam, our guide was Q, who did an
exceptional job. He was most accommodating of all
our wants and needs and went out of his way to identify
good photo opportunities. As well, he provided
knowledgeable commentary with respect to the sites that
we visited.
Our third guide, in the northern part of Vietnam, was
Thomas. While he did take us to a number of venues with
particularly exciting photo opportunities, there were
some aspects of his service with which we were less than
pleased.
Our fourth and last guide, in Cambodia, was
outstanding. Though we had some initial difficulty
understanding his accent, he was engaging, friendly,
eager to be of service and always seeking to provide us
with the best photo opportunities. The service he
provided was such as should make you proud as a
proprietor.
We should add that, in all cases, the drivers that were
provided were of the highest quality.
We are most grateful for the experience you have
provided and, when we seek a future trip to South-east
Asia, yours will be the first company that we contact.
In fact, your mention of your intent to set up new tours
incorporating Myanmar, Thailand and Laos is very
interesting and I expect to be in touch with you in the
future to arrange our participation therein. We would
be happy to provide an endorsement of your tour service
and, though I have not checked since our return, I
expect there is a facility on your website whereby we
can post our enthusiastic endorsement of your company
and its service.
I note that you have requested a family portrait taken
in Vietnam and I am sorry to disappoint you because,
despite having taken about 24,000 photos during the
tour, not one of them involves images of ourselves. We
operate under the premise that we can take pictures of
ourselves anytime (though we seldom do). We observe
that many tourists like to take pictures of themselves
at famous venues to prove to others that they were
there. We operate on the principle that, if we have
24,000 pictures of our trip, we don't need further
evidence that we experienced it. Though we don't have a
family portrait to go with it, we would be very pleased
to provide a written endorsement for your new brochure.
You asked, particularly, how the Cambodia portion of our
tour went. Without question, it was a highlight of the
trip. The accommodation in Siem Reap was of the highest
quality, as was all of the accommodation on our trip.
The Cambodian guide and driver, as I have noted above,
were outstanding. If anything, we could have used an
additional day of the guide and driver service, but that
shortcoming was of our doing, not yours.
In summary, Tommy, the tour was unquestionably one of
the best travel experiences of our lives. Despite any
negative comments I have made above, we have only the
highest praise for your company, the service you
provide, and and the experience you offer. We most
definitely intend to take advantage of those in the
future and hope that you will keep us informed with
respect to future tour packages that you make available.
Best regards,

Dear Kat and Tommy,
Thank you so much for an incredible experience
through Vietnam. I know we have many changes along
the way but I very much appreciated all your help
and in support in making our trip an experience of a
lifetime. We learned so much from our fabulous
guides. They were truly amazing.
Our drivers were the best also! Hopefully we will
get more people from Canada to travel to Vietnam. I
will make sure they all know about our experience.
If you have any questions for other clients, please
do not hesitate to contact me at anytime. Happy
Holidays to all of you and again a big thank you

Dear Tommy,
As I indicated previously, all other aspects of your
itinerary were satisfactory, particularly the choice
of guides (whom I don't know what kind of control
you have in choosing them), the places we
visited, and the meals that were
included, especially the lunches on the boat back to
Bangkok and the one in Hoi An (I think it was). In
retrospect, we probably should have spent less time
in Bangkok and more time on an island resort such as
Phuket. There are some serious limitations for
tourists such as ourselves in that city. It takes
too long to get to the interesting sites -- Bangkok
itself is not our "cup of tea." Phuket, or some
other island retreat, would have been a much better
choice. However, that's water under the bridge, so
to speak, and, for our first outing in that part of
the world, it was quite eye-opening.
Thank you, again, for your efforts. I
appreciate your thoughtfulness and sincerity and
want you to know that: OVERALL IT WAS A
VERY WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE.

Dear Kat,
Hello from Moscow! First of all I would like to
thank you for preparing such a professional and
interesting tour. My parents are very impressed by
all of your guides, noticing that all of them are
very well-educated people and know Russian very
well. The service was absolutely perfect. They
really admired your beautiful country, especially
they liked Halong Bay, Hue and Hoi An. Also it was
undoubtedly worth visiting Cambodia, thanks for
advising such a beautiful hotel.
In general everything was perfect, except the
weather that sometimes was cold and rainy.
Be sure that when in the future we will be planning
to visit your region you will be the first to know
about it.
Thanks and best regards,

Dear Kat,
Thank you so much again for arranging an excellent
trip to Vietnam. Also thank you for making the time
to meet up with us at the Silk path Hotel. So much
appreciated. Also thank you for the gift. It is now
displayed in my bar at home.

We went to the restaurant you told us about. We
have ordered the street menu but then Sandra started
to feel ill. We then cancelled the meal and went
back to the hotel. Next time.
It all worked out so well. The Seahorse Hotel we had
a wonderful room. Next time at Seahorse I will try
to stay in Villa 106 or 104. They are the only 2
Villas that have sea views and private. The Saturday
evening they have a seafood buffet. Wow, it was so
good. I had 5 crabs and lots of prawns and other
seafood. Good value for money. Weather was also
very good.
The cruise on Violet Junk we also enjoyed. Our cabin
was spacious and beautiful. Just a pity that the
only full day you are on the boat, you go on a day
boat. Would have liked to enjoyed the cabin more.
Silk path was also fantastic. Big disappointment
with Silk Path Hotel was that we asked to reserve
room 601 on our return. That was Debra's room. We
were told no problem. When we arrived, the room was
taken that morning. They then gave us a room
without a shower. We objected strongly and the lady
at front desk did not believe us when we told her
about no shower. She then came to look and put us
in another room but was much smaller than the 1st
room. We will stay again at Silk Path when we are
in Hanoi.
Once again thank you so much for a well arranged
trip.
We unfortunately arrived home with a dog that was
very sick. We thought that the dog will die.
Fortunately she is still with us and getting
stronger. I think she missed us.
We stay in touch. Till next time.

Dear Kat It was great to meet you at the Sofitel
Legend Metropole Hotel in Hanoi and so be able to
put a face to the writer of so many emails. All the
arrangements worked as promised and to time. Your
choice of safe drivers was, without exception,
excellent and much appreciated. With hindsight, we
also appreciated your advice not to return to Saigon
by rice barge.

We all had a great time in Vietnam and thank you
for your part in it. Should we be able to return
again we will have no hesitation in contacting you.
With very best wishes from us all.

Good morning
Ms. Hien!
Just when I thought I was over the jetlag, it woke me up
this morning at 4AM... It is hard to sleep with all of
the fond memories swimming in my head! I want to second
Peter's sentiments. We are extremely pleased with you,
your team & Signatures of Asia. We share our photos and
stories with everyone that will sit long enough. Peter
and I have laughed (and cried, but only about the close
of our holiday) many times since departing your
beautiful country-it is hard to believe it is over...!
Thank you for taking the time to meet us at the
Metropole Hotel on our final night-I don't know if that
is common practice, but I truly appreciate the
sentiment. Thank you also for the tea and treats. I
will think fondly of you and our travels when we sip and
nibble them. You and Viet Nam, Mr. The, Ms. Trang & Mr.
Hai are so lovely and I look forward to our next
meeting.
I have gone to your website to offer our feedback, but
it is hard to navigate around the site-particularly to
locate the feedback tab. When I click on the feedback
fingernail, it takes me to the testimonial page, but
there is no actual feedback form that I have found.
Will you please direct me? Or do you simply want me to
submit an email with all tidbits, praise, and
suggestions? I am happy to do either.
Peter is on a business trip in California and so I have
all the time in the world to recall the snapshots of
Hanoi, Sapa, Halong Bay and Hoi An-thank you again for
creating a most magnificent trip for us! It is always
hard to come home but also leaves us looking forward to
the next adventure...
Best wishes,

Dear Tommy and Signatures of
Asia's Team.
Thanks for your note. We
very much enjoyed our stay in Laos and Viet Nam. In
general, we had an outstanding time and would
recommend you and your company to others. Indeed, I
have already. I will provide some comments in the
spirit of helping you improve the experience for
others, not as a complaint.
This was an outstanding visit.
Exceeded our expectations.
La Residence Phu Vao is
wonderful. Our guide was the best of the trip.
Knowledgeable and a good style. We were fortunate
to go and see Kwang Si Falls. Would have been a
loss to have missed that. Thanks for arranging it.
The Hmong village is difficult
to visit. Little to really see and the level of
poverty is very sobering. You need to be sure your
clients are up to that.
The countryside around Luang
Prabang is beautiful. People should get out and
walk -- perhaps near the falls or the cave.
Do not know if bike rides are
an option but if your can help people appreciate the
countryside they will likely enjoy Luang Prabang
even more.
Thanks for arranging a
walk through of French Quarter between
planes. Good intro to Hanoi, although quite
humid on the day we were there. Much better
than sitting in airport. Hotel Metropole was
wonderful. A step back in time and in great
area. Hard to imagine anything compares to
it in Hanoi.
Vertical is a good
restaurant, although I had a friend that
went there and said it was terrible.
Difference is when Chef Corlou is in.
Cooking school - you need to either clarify
with the chef or clarify with the client
that the chef will give you the cooking
lessons. The description clearly states
that he will give the lesson and frankly I
thought it would be at the restaurant.
Clearly, he feels he has the option to do
it himself or give it to his wife to do at
his house. We did it at his house which
turned out nice. However, you were left
with the feeling that you were not getting
what you were told and that somehow you were
being pushed off. My suggestion is to
clarify with him or also work with Bobby
Chinn. You will have an option and he will
not take you for granted. Our evening
turned out fine but I had doubts for some
time. As you know there are beautiful
cooking schools in Hoi An too.
Hanoi is not as
interesting of a city as HCMC and other
places in Viet Nam. Of all the places it
was the least interesting but I am glad we
went. There is a developed art scene in
Hanoi, a number of artists. You may want to
consider tracking a couple down and adding
visits to their studios or galleries for the
interested clients. We visited San Art and
a gallery in HCMC. What the artists are
working on often reflects the issues of the
culture. Also it likely introduces you to
some of the academics.
Ha Long Bay was
magnificent. Long drive from Hanoi.
Stopping at the stores halfway was not our
cup of tea especially since the one on the
return essentially sold what the one going
sold. There must be someplace else more
interesting to stop along the way. The
boat was fantastic and romantic. Know it
was very expensive. We really enjoyed
ourselves
Hoi An was very
interesting. Knowing what I know now I may
have tried to add Sapa and leave Hoi An out
and perhaps reduce HCMC or add some time to
my trip. The old city of Hoi An was very
interesting, restaurants nice but of course
the entire area is starting to be surrounded
by major developments. We got up very early
(practice from Luang Prabang) and bike road
to watch the local fisherman throw their
nets. Our bike ride through the rice
paddies was fun. Glad we did that but hard
to really feel that you were in "the
countryside." Our guide here was nice but
unmotivated. The Life Resort was an
interesting choice. Can see why you
selected it since it was seemingly the
nicest place in Hoi An, but it is really as
tourist hotel for families who stay there
for about a week. (Mostly Australians when
we were there) Felt a bit like Miami to me
and hence in contrast to the area. I
wonder if there is an older but nice
"historic" feel place in the city of Hoi An
that would be in keeping with the feel of
the Metropole and the old style boat from Ha
Long Bay.
HCMC is the city where
you should take people to buy something they
want. Everyone is making something.
Furniture, clothes etc. Interesting city.
Would go back here as I did not get a sense
of the real city. We enjoyed our art
forays. Met a friend who works there.
All and all the trip
was great. You did a very good job.

Hi

We

son getting married last weekend.
We
has a fantastic trip to Cambodia and Vietnam. We
would definitely recommend your company to others.
In fact we have done so.
It
is hard to decide what we enjoyed most. All your
arrangements worked very well with someone always
there to collect us from airports, hotels etc. All
the guides were very good and helpful. The
accommodation was great.
The only place we found that was not as good was the
Hoi an Trails Resort where the rooms were fine but
the food not as good as elsewhere. It was not helped
by the fact that there was a typhoon the first night
we were there and we were advised to eat in the
hotel that evening. Usually we explored the towns
for somewhere to eat or took a recommendation from
our guides.

Hi Tommy,
Thanks for your email. Ian enjoyed the golf and
advised it was a beautiful course although a little
hot that day. I have submitted payment as
requested.
We had a wonderful time and much of that is due to
the fantastic coordination on your part along with
the reliability, knowledge and professionalism by
our driver, Mr. Nam and our fantastic tour guide,
The Nguyen. They did a great job and really made
our trip special and that much more memorable.

The had given my husband a survey form to complete
but it got misplaced during our packing, if you
could send me another copy I would appreciate it.
The Halong Bay Violet junk was beautiful and
comfortable, the staff was fantastic, the food was
delicious and the activities were just enough for
the 2 night stay. Our only disappointment was to
see so much trash and pollution in Halong Bay - it
is such a beautiful spot and it is terrible to see
it ruined with so much garbage in the water and on
the beaches.
We want to thank you again for giving us such a
fantastic experience. We look forward to using your
services again on our next trip to Asia.

Dear Kat,
Overall
the trip was very successful - the guides were all
good, always on time and flexible if we wanted to
deviate from the set itinerary.
All accommodation was excellent although we had to
change rooms in the Nam Hai as the air con was not
working properly.
It was
probably not the best time to visit Vietnam as the
weather was very hot and humidity very high -
however that is not a criticism of you!
The
Marguerite cruise was interesting - I think it was
worth what we paid but not the high season prices.
The boat is very comfortable in the cabins and
lounges but the corridors and decks were very hot.
Most of the gym equipment was broken. The boat was
not able to get all the way up stream and didn't
cover a lot of distance and the views from the boat
were the same every day - just river banks. The
daily excursions were interesting but the itinerary
bore little resemblance to what actually took place.
Our cruise only had 19 people on board. The food was
good but I think there should have been more
emphasis on Vietnamese food especially for the
evening meal which only ever has Western food!
We were very satisfied with your service and thank
you for all your efforts in organizing a trip that
ran like clockwork. We would certainly recommend
your company Signatures of Asia to others and would
be happy to offer a testimonial to that effect if
required.

easy, full of lessons on culture and history. and,
Halong bay was so, so beautiful. . . tranquil, serene,
magical, mystical. we voted for it to be included in the

Our guide, Mr.. te' ( i hope this is the right spelling

impressed with Mr.. te's explanations of the temple of

Kat,
Thank you for your help in organizing the trip. It
was a memorable vacation. We found the
accommodations on the Violet, as well as the food to
exceed our expectations. I realize there are much
less expensive options available in Halong Bay, but
we were quite happy with our choice. The Victoria
hotel was also a fabulous place and the train was
sufficient. I would have preferred to have the
option of not sleeping in a compartment with 2 other
people I had never met and who did not seem happy to
have me join them. Both our guide in Sapa and the
drivers provided were helpful and efficient.
Perhaps asking more questions about suggested treks
in the Sapa area would have been helpful for
everyone prior to our arrival.

Dear Mai
Anh,
Firstly I would like to say everything went well with
our golf trip, the guides in Hanoi and
Cambodia were terrific the one in Saigon was ok but was
not as lively and helpful as the other two.
The best courses we found in Saigon was at Long Thanh
and in Hanoi was King's Island. The rest of
courses including the ones in Siem Reap were good as
well so I'm glad I chose the right ones.
So on behalf of Phillip, Bernie and David we would like
to thank you for doing a great job.
Now as a matter of interest, do you arrange golf tours
for Thailand, Singapore and Malaysia?
We are thinking of doing a golf tour of these three
countries and Vietnam, this time playing at
Dalat, Da Nang and etc.

Hello Tommy,
Thank you to you and your team. We had a wonderful time
on our holiday in Vietnam. Hanoi was beautiful, The
Sofitel was fabulous. All of our tour guides were
fantastic, especially the one in Hanoi, he was very
knowledgeable and informative. We liked all of the tours
he took us on. Halong Bay was breath-taking, the Jasmine
boat was a treat, we especially loved being on the boat,
our daughter said this was her favorite part of our
trip. Hoi An was charming and relaxing. The resort we
stayed at was a much needed rest. the lady who was our
tour guide was also kind and knew a lot of information.
Ho Chi Minh city was a busy city, the hotel was great,
or tour guide was fine, we enjoyed our tour one day
however on the second day we would suggest that going to
the tunnel is enough for one day, it was difficult for
our daughter & us to continue on that day and also go to
the church for a worship ceremony, it was ok to see but
made the day very long, but other than that the tour
guide was also very nice.
Thanks again to you and your staff for a wonderful
vacation. As we were recommended to your company by one
of our friends, we will also give our friends high
recommendations of your company.

Thanks Tommy
for emailing us. We were very impressed indeed
with the quality of accommodation; shame that the
weather at Hoi An wasn't warmer but the villa at the Nam
Hai resort was very spectacular. I attach the customer
survey for Hanoi leg of the trip. The trip to
Halong Bay was enjoyable but a bit rushed; its a long
drive out and back and traveling by car wasn't
comfortable enough. In hindsight would have
preferred a little more time in Hanoi and probably could
have skipped Hue.
All in all an enjoyable trip.

Dear Kat,
We enjoyed the Mekong Delta
Cruise with the ship Le Cochinchine
We want to say thank you for the
great experience and the warm hospitality, which you
and your team had given to us. Our special thanks go
to the crew of the Le Cochinchine during this time.
We felt like at home with them. We admire the
performance of the ships cook, who always perform
magic results on our table. Special thanks to Mr.
Dao, who give us the warm feeling to be someone
special.
Please forward the attached
picture to the crew and Mr. Dao and tell them many
greetings from “the King and the Queen of the ship”

Hello Tommy, If there were some rating above
excellent, I would give it to Signatures of Asia. We
were all happy with the booking and service provided by
Signatures of Asia. Sofitel Legend was outstanding and
the service was great and the staffs were most gracious.
Bhaya Cruise in Halong Bay was lovely too! We think the
crew members had a great attention to detail and
service. What a great holiday!. We went home with a fond
memory we will never forget. We definitely
recommend your

Dear Kat,
Thank you so much for your e-mail. I hope you had a
wonderful holiday. I hope your holiday was as good
as mine on La Marguerite and in Vietnam and Bangkok.
Our holiday was so much better than expected. La
Marguerite is such a good product. We would love to
do it again but I see bookings are well into 2011.
Are your company in anyway connected to the company
that owns La Marguerite? You gave us such a good
rate on La Marguerite.
You mentioned you also do bookings for South Beach
hotels. Will you give me details of good hotels and
also the cruise on Halong Bay. I would love to go
back to your beautiful country but it will only
probably in 2011. I would love to get good
information about a nice beach holiday.
Once again thank you so much. You were so good to
us.
Regards.

Ps They looked after my wife on her birthday. They
went out of the way. We received beautiful flowers
in the cabin in the morning and the the evening
at dinner a beautiful ice cream cake. When we went
back to the cabin they made the bed so special and
also gave her a beautiful silk gown. We were so
excited. Thank you again.

Dear Signatures of Asia:
Our vacation was really wonderful. All your staff
was very helpful.
The Sofitel Metropole was excellent -- in
particular, the club level services were
outstanding. Just an FYI -- for a family traveling
together, the layout of the bedroom and bathroom in
our suite was not ideal, because there are no doors
to close for privacy. The room would be better for a
couple. But we managed just fine. The puppet show
was a real treat -- thanks for suggesting it.
The Violet is a beautiful ship -- wonderful crew,
great activities, great chef. A few minor plumbing
issues in the bathroom, but nothing major.
The Nam Hai was gorgeous. The spa experience was
one of the best I've ever enjoyed.
The Sofitel Angkor Wat is a beautiful property, but
compared to the other hotels, I'd rate the room as
good, but not great. Of course, it's hard to
compete with the first 2 hotels!
The pacing of the trip was good for us. I'm glad we
did not try to squeeze in Ho Chi Minh City. That
would have been too much.
I hope we have the chance to come back someday. The
hospitality we experienced was lovely. Thanks for
all your help in arranging our trip.

be a great year for all of us.
We arrived back last ight from our trip to Asia.
Our cruise onboard La Marguerite was fantastic. It
is such a comfortable ship and cabins very
luxurious. We had such a great time. It is so scenic
a long the river. We have already recommended the
trip to 3 friends. Hope to be onboard again sometime
soon but I have noticed the bookings are very booked
up already. We also met the owners wife. She was
also onboard and kept training the staff. Her
husband could not be onboard as he was involved with
the new ship they have started to built on 29 Dec.

Hello Kat, I am glad you enjoyed your present, you
certainly deserved it.
Our experience of Vietnam was positive in every way. The
tour guides were brilliant. All three of them shared
their extensive knowledge of the history and culture of
Vietnam with us, which made our trip that much more
interesting and valuable, as we were able to understand
the differences in the regions and the people more
clearly and appreciate Vietnam fully. They also all had
a good sense of humour, which we Australians appreciate.
The accommodation was very, very good and the trip to
Halong Bay on the junk unforgettable. We were certainly
happy that you suggested it. The van and the drivers
provided was also of a high quality.
I will certainly recommend your company to all. We had a
very enjoyable and interesting trip. We have a great
respect and admiration for the Vietnamese people.
Once again thank you for your efforts in planning our

Tommy & Signatures of Asia
In November 2006, we had a fantastic vacation in
Vietnam from Hanoi down to the south of Saigon
because everything you organize was perfect and in
line with the tour program you prepare.
So my wife and I didn't had any hesitation to
contact you in June 2008 for ours January 2009
vacations. We ask you to summit us a program
beginning January 16th in Chiang Rai (Thailand) to
Saigon on February 5th 2009.
We had a wonderful 2 days cruise on the Mekong
rivers from Houeisay (Laos) to Luang Prabang. We
also enjoy every moment in Vientiane, in Phnom Penh
and Angkor (Cambodia) and Hue, Hoi An and
Saigon. At a couple of occasion due to airline
schedule modifications you always do your best to
find the best available solution in ours interests.
We had asked for a five stars vacation and you
deliver perfectly. Previously we travel with the
help of a Canadian or European travel agency who
offer also nice tours but sometime it was difficult
to get in touch with our agent...but with you, one
of your strongest point I would say is that in 95%
of the time I received answer to my Emails in less
than 15 minutes; this is a plus and was very
appreciate.
This vacation from Thailand to Saigon, was
definitely our best we had and all the guides were
perfect and your choices of hotels.

Tommy, I spent the day yesterday unpacking and doing
laundry with a smile on my face because I was still
remembering all the wonderful things we did on our
trip. I have traveled to Thailand, China, Cambodia,
Japan, and Singapore but this was the very best trip
I have done in Asia. We loved Vietnam and I am sure
that is because everything went so smoothly with the
tour. Thanks so much for your hard work in making
our trip such a wonderful memory. The hotels you
picked were outstanding and the restaurants that
were included in the tour were fabulous! Meeting
you in Hanoi was a wonderful experience and we
appreciate the drinks, the calendar and the
beautiful scarves! It was so nice of you to spend
some time with us. We missed you in Saigon on the
farewell dinner cruise but that was certainly a
great way to end our trip. The boat was so nice and
the food was delicious. What a great idea to put us
on that cruise for our last night. You are a very
kind person who really cares about your clients. We
could tell by the way you handled the cancellation
of our friend Donna's trip with such short notice.
Your kindness and understanding during her father's
failing health was certainly a comfort to her.
Refunding her money was something no other agent
would have done. It was such a kind thing to do and
it really sets you above the other travel agents I
have dealt with. By the way, her father is still
very ill but also her husband is going into the
hospital in 2 days for immediate hip replacement.
She has a lot to deal with right now and we really
appreciated your understanding and kind offer to
refund her money. You can be sure that we will
recommend you to other clients.
I will write you a more detailed evaluation when I
have a little more time this week regarding all the
experiences we had in each city as I know you would
like a full evaluation to help you with incoming
clients. For us, it could not have been better. I
am already thinking of a way I can make a group so I
can come back next year. :)
Right now, I have 9 days to prepare for Oman and
Dubai. I am taking another small group for a 10 day
trip there with my husband. We leave on March
20th. It will be our 25th wedding anniversary. I
will write again soon and send more pictures. Also,
I will send you the web site as soon as I have it up

Hi Tom, Really
everything was top notch. People were prompt, on time,

Very safe. Courses were good and interesting layouts.
Only complaint was the courses were too far away from

in the van. We will definitely come back.

Our travelers are very happy. Their

The only constructive critism is

We are back in Greece , have “recovered” and just found

Sorry for not replying sooner, but it has been busy
trying to prepare for the 2009 season, amidst the
difficult economic and financial news and client
uncertainty. I believe we will succeed in spite of it
all but we will have to be even more resourceful to
secure the business that is still there and ready to
book, especially after our New Year.
I know I owe you the comments from P and R. In short,
they had a wonderful trip. They enjoyed your country and
its friendly people, they liked the food wherever they
traveled and thought your hotels were all superb. Their
one constructive criticism was in connection with some
of the guides they had. The clients told me that they
frequently had some difficulties understanding the
English of the guides. They thought that they were all
very qualified and knowledgeable about Vietnam , the
culture, the sights, the people, but needed to work on
their pronunciation. Maybe this comment will help you in
your work, to identify areas of improvement.
Of course they also had some rainy days, but as this is
beyond anyone’s control and since their trip was a
fairly long one, the total rainy days were in the end
not so bad at all. Best part was that no matter what the
weather, rain or shine, the temperatures were always
pleasant.
I consider ourselves very lucky also that they passed
through Bangkok before all the trouble started there.
Had they been caught up in this, it would have made
things rather difficult.
In any case, we have gained two good spokespeople for
your product and they will hopefully bring us good “word
of mouth” business in future. I thank you for setting it
all up so well and for running an obviously excellent
operation. I really want to work with you strongly in
future.
I will be in touch shortly with specific ideas and
comments.

Dear Tommy,
Yes, my clients came back without problems. Everything
was O.K., nothing happened during their journey. It was
very important because the coordination was quite
complicated, in case of missing one plane, the whole
programme would be destroyed by "domino effect". But no
flight was cancelled, no healthy problems, no hotel or
programme problems and therefore they returned very
satisfied and I hope they will come back next time and
also we shall have more clients for you. Many thanks for
your cooperation and hope to continue in the future.

Hi Tommy and
thanks you for your email. We arrived home on Wednesday
afternoon and I was going to contact you over the
weekend. Once again, thank you for your hospitality – we
thoroughly enjoyed your company and the lovely Thai
food.
Once again,
we had a wonderful trip which lived up to all our
expectations and the trip was enjoyed by everyone. We
all had a fabulous time. What I said I would do is send
your email address around to our friends and they can
contact you directly with their comments. Tommy, I am
more then happy to recommend your tour to anyone who
asks and I’m happy for you to give my name and email
address to Australians who are considering your tour.
As I
promised, I will give my views on each place.
-
Everything was very well organized and Thai is an
extremely good guide for Australians. We like to be
happy and have a joke and he was very happy. Once
again the Sheraton Hotel was superb and in a great
location. We were also able to use the laundry up
the street from the Sheraton and this could be very
useful information for travelers if you wanted to
include it in pre-tour notes. Laundry is always
very expensive in hotels all over the world. The
driver of the bus was very good and was always very
careful, but also very prompt and maintained a very
clean bus. There was always plenty of water
available. My only suggestion would be to just
include an early check-in or late checkout within
your original price if the tourists are going to
Sapa.
-
Sapa was
a fabulous place – very interesting and we all loved
our treks to the hill tribes. The local people are
so lovely and friendly and we enjoyed going to three
different villages. The driver in Sapa was also
very good and also maintained a very clean bus. The
hotel was fabulous – great meals in the dining room
and also we used the spa which was also great.
-
Halong
Bay: As last time, this is the most beautiful
destination. The Valentine Junk was superb so thank
you for suggesting this for us. The meals and
excursions offered were great as were the cabins.
-
Hue: Once
again we loved Hue – the hotel was Tony’s favourite
last year and he loved it again this year as we all
did. The facilities offered in the hotel are
delightful and once again, we were able to find a
local laundry which solved any clothes problem.
-
Hoi An:
Again, a beautiful town and we all had clothes
tailored and dined in many lovely restaurants. The
location of the Golden Sands Resort was absolutely
superb as were the pool facilities. The Resort
itself is very tired and needs quite a lot of
maintenance. The rooms were lovely but there were
quite a lot of things that didn’t work. (We were
quite happy but I’m just giving you a totally honest
report on everything)
-
Nha
Trang: We stayed in the Vinpearl Resort on the
Island which was absolutely first class – pool
facilities, restaurants, service etc. I must say
that we think Thom (I think that is how you spell
his name) was probably the most professional of all
our guides. Perhaps he is a little bit older but he
was superb.
-
Mekong
Delta: This was a great side trip and once again the
Victoria Hotel was wonderful – great service and
facilities, and also great restaurant.
-
Saigon
was once again an extremely interesting city. The
tour of the city was fabulous. I would also suggest
that you could possibly include the War Relics
Museum in your tours. We went there ourselves on
our free day and it was very interesting. The
Renaissance Hotel was once again fabulous as were
the facilities.
-
The only
small complaint of the whole trip which was totally
beyond your control was in Saigon . Our guide Bien,
who was very good during our stay, considered he
wasn’t able to take us all the way to the airport
when we were leaving as he would have been running
late to meet his next tour group. He left the bus
on the way to the airport and got a motorbike taxi
to take him to the airport to meet them. We were a
little disappointed that he didn’t finish seeing us
off and then go on to the first group. It is only a
minor detail but I did promise to tell you things we
were not happy with, as well as the things we were
happy with.
Anyway, as
you see, we had a wonderful holiday. We have found the
Vietnam people are delightful, the food absolutely
scrumptious and the accommodation as good as anywhere in
the world. Once again, we thank you sincerely and do
hope to be back in Vietnam ourselves in two years. As I
said, we are more than happy to pass your details on to
anyone we know thinking of traveling to Vietnam .
Our warmest
regards,
Leone and Tony Chant and group of 10 pax

Just a quick
note to thank you and your staff for a very enjoyable
holiday. The guide Hai Hai was great as was the driver
who drove very well.
Everything went to plan and my fiancée and I had a great
time. I will be recommending you to my friends and
customers.
Many thanks,

Dear Tommy,
We wish to thank you for a wonderful trip. The
organization of guides and cars meeting us at airports
was 100 % at all times. All hotels were excellent and
tours arranged were perfect, especially as we were able
to rearrange to suit ourselves. The only disappointment
was the Jasmine Cruise, as the boat we were changed to
did not live up to our expectations, but we know that
this was out of your hands. Should we travel in your
area again, you can be sure it will be with you, I have
already passed your information on to a group of
teachers who are planning a trip to Vietnam in January.
Thank you again,

Thank you for
your good wishes. We arrived home in good health but
(naturally) a little tired from all the travel - 9 hotel
transfers, 2 overnight train trips, 4 Vietnam / Cambodia
plane trips and an overnight flight home in three weeks.
On reflection it was a wonderful experience, very
different from any other of the many holidays we have
undertaken.
We were very satisfied with the services - reservations,
guides and drivers - you provided and thank you for the
itinerary change you made for us whilst we were in
Vietnam. We have no hesitation in recommending your
company to any travellers from our country who wish to
travel extensively through Indo-China in the most "user
friendly" fashion.
As this was our first visit to Vietnam we were keen to
see a lot of the country. Whilst we are in good health
for our age, this turned out to be a little too
ambitious for us - our fault.
The trip to Sapa was really exhausting. We found the
overnight train trips were not a good experience and the
luxury carriage inadequate. On the morning we arrived in
Lao Cai, we visited the Flower H'mong market. It was
really colorful and a special experience but the drive
took 3 hours each way on difficult mountain roads in
poor weather.
We would recommend that you warn customers who are going
to Sapa, especially older ones, of the extent and
difficulty of the travel. Whilst it wastes a day each
way, if travellers have enough time / money we would
recommend day train to and from Sapa.
The guides were all very good and especially helpful
with after tour advice on eating and shopping, etc. The
drivers were all highly skilled in the difficult traffic
conditions we encountered especially in Hanoi, Saigon
city and the mountain areas. Having these guides and
drivers took all the stress out of traveling in
non-English speaking countries with unfamiliar
languages.
As to the accommodation and places, all satisfied our
most important needs for cleanliness, cooling,
comfortable bed and adequate bathroom. Due to its
location and position within the hotel, our suite at the
Grand Hotel (HCMC) was quite noisy but we do not want to
blame you because this is our choice. All the hotels
served good breakfasts and some were exceptional. Given
some hotels were much dearer than others it is not fair
to rank them without regard to price. Nevertheless these
were our impressions:
-
We really
enjoyed staying at "La Residence Hue" and the Hue
area. This is a very elegant art deco / colonial
hotel that had excellent staff, amenities and food
and warranted another day of relaxation to utilise
all these things and for further sight seeing /
shopping within Hue central;
-
"Hotel De
La Paix" in Siem Reap is the most fabulous hotel we
have stayed in but not quite as welcoming and easy
to meet others as La Residence Hue. It has one of
the most magnificent pool setting we have ever seen.
The Angkor temple sites are stupendous and Siem Reap
was worthy of another day;
-
The
Indo-Chine junk and Halong Bay were magnificent;
-
The Hotel
Victoria Sapa is a nice place but we had shocking
weather (0 - 2C) whilst there and did not get to see
the famous views from the hotel of the surrounding
area;
-
The
alternative visit to the ancient capital of North
Vietnam and the Tam Loc / 3 caves river journey were
a great substitute for the Perfume Pagoda visit;
-
The two
hotels we stayed at in Hanoi - Hoa Binh Palace and
Rosaliza - were very good considering they are 2'nd
rung hotels. Of the two we slightly preferred the
Hoa Binh Palace as a hotel but preferred the less
noisy position of the Rosaliza;
-
the Beach
Resort in Hoi An claims to be 5 star but we would
rate it far less. It is not in the same class as La
Residence Hue and Hotel De La Paix.
On the other
hand, we were very unlucky with the weather in North and
Central Vietnam and did not have any sunlight until the
last day in Hoi An. We had a lot of tailored clothes
made up in Hoi An. These were all very good quality and
exceptional value for Western tourists as is the food
throughout Hoi An and indeed everywhere we went in
Vietnam;
Warmest regards,
Howard and Anne Silver from Sydney, Australia
